Sawdust takes the audience back in time to the Golden Age of Circus, when young Tony and Willie have run away to join the glitz and glamour of the big top – only to find that there’s also drama and danger in life in the sawdust. Joining a crew of rowdy roustabouts, Tony and Willie quickly learn who really runs the show: the mighty, Musclemen Daredevils and the uppity, Divas of Danger, but most of all the dastardly, manipulative, power-crazed Ringmaster, who runs the center ring with showmanship and charisma—but the rest of the circus with an iron fist.
